Most of us think that we live in a relatively safe environment.

However, last week an expensive bike helmet was stolen from the clothesline of a residents property in Kaikanui Lane. This was a brand new item and the area couldn’t be accessed unless someone came onto their property.

The residents have no idea who stole this and are disappointed that their sense of security has been breached.

There are many unknown people visiting, walking/biking,  and working in our community.

We’d recommend that, if you don’t lock your doors or haven’t been concerned about security up till now, that you may want to reconsider this.

As good neighbours, we’ll continue to look out for each other, and advise if we see something suspicious.
